We are situated on the upper Thurne River, a tranquil and peaceful part of the Norfolk Broads offering easy access to the 120 miles of navigable waterways. An hour’s sail from Hickling Broad, its Nature Reserve, and the Pleasure Boat Inn, this is a beautiful place to spend your first night. Close by is Horsey Mere and the famous National Trust Wind Pump, the seals on Horsey Beach and the quiet hamlet and dyke of West Somerton, both offer peaceful enchanting moorings. We are thirty minutes sail from Potter Heigham with its shops, cafes, and pubs, this is a good place to stock up on supplies before exploring more of the beautiful Broads National Park.

Approaching from Norwich take the A47 (Norwich southern bypass) towards Great Yarmouth,
Continue to Acle, then take the A1064 at the roundabout towards Martham.
After about 1.7 miles Turn LEFT on the B1152 (Signposted Martham).
After a further 1.7 miles turn RIGHT (Signposted Martham) this brings you to an offset crossroads, proceed ‘straight’ across (Signposted Martham).
Continue into the village ignore the signpost to the Staith and Boatyard and continue into the village, immediate past the pedestrian crossing turn LEFT onto Staith Road
LEFT again after about half a mile onto Ferrygate Lane, follow the road round until you reach the river and Oliver’s Sailing Holidays (Martham Ferry Boat Yard).
